Audrey Rose 9 Month Portraits | Otsego Child and Family Photographer

It seems like it was only yesterday that Jenni and I were talking about having some maternity pictures done for her as she awaited the birth of her first child.  Unfortunately, those pictures never took place as little miss Audrey Rose decided to make her appearance much earlier than anticipated.  However, I was asked to photograph her first year milestones and have had the extreme pleasure of watching her grow up over these past 9 months into a beautiful little baby girl.

My first session with Audrey was when she was just 6 weeks old.  Just a sleepy tiny little peanut.  Then shortly after that session I was privileged to photograph her baptism.

Another couple of months went by and I went back to Jenni's home for Audrey's 3 month portraits.  Then came her 6 month portraits along with a few family pictures outside.  Just a few quick ones for the Christmas cards since it was a windy and blustery November day outside.  Since I'm still catching up on blogging sessions from last Fall here is a little sneak peak at those:

And just this past weekend, I was greeted at Jenni's front door by a crawling 9-month old!  Where does this time go?  I am really looking forward to taking her One Year Portraits in a few months to round out documenting Audrey's first year.  What a great pleasure it has been. :)

Emma, 9 Month and One Year | Eagan Baby and Family Photographer

As I am still playing catch up on the blog, I thought I would once again roll 2 blog posts into 1!

The first set of pictures is of cute little baby Emma taken down at the Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul for her 9 Month Pictures and Family Christmas pictures.  I love all the props that Mom brought, too, making it a really fun session (check out that cute letter to Santa we mailed at the end of the session in the old timey mailbox still sitting in the lobby of the Landmark Center).

Speaking of...Oh, how I adore the Landmark Center.  I love the history of this building, the beautiful woodwork, and the large beautiful floor-to-ceiling windows within each room making it a perfect place for indoor photos.  This is where I had my own engagement pictures taken 5 years ago as well. :)  I really need to take a day and do one of the tours that they offer on how the gangsters were brought to justice within the old court rooms.  I love history, especially when I can stand right in the middle of it.  I have great memories of my grandmother taking me to practically every historic monument in Minnesota (check out the Hinkely Fire Museum if you are ever up that way).

The 2nd set of photos is from Emma's One Year Pictures taken at home.  A make-up session is in order as *someone* (yeah, it was me) showed up way earlier than scheduled and totally interruped Emma's nap making her less than willing to sit and pose for me. (although from this set you probably couldn't tell).  Round 2 of Emma's One Year Pictures are coming soon!

6-Month Baby Photos | Minneapolis Baby and Child Photography

The only way I can describe how I feel about this session is calling it "The Perfect Storm".  Sometimes a session comes together so perfectly that the results are amazing and beautiful.

The day was overcast and lightly snowing heading into this session at noon on a Friday.  I had dropped off my son for an overnight stay at his Papa and Gaga's house that morning, came home to quickly eat some lunch, then packed up my car with my props and camera bag and headed over to H's house for a session with her beautiful 6-month old daughter (and her older sister).

Not having been to H's house before I noticed the gorgeous hardwood flooring and huge bay window in the living room, thinking this would be a really nice spot for the photos.  However, H had something else in mind...a spare bedroom in the back of the house with those same beautiful hardwood floors, neutral colored walls and even more beautiful light coming in from some very large (almost floor to ceiling) windows.  Seriously perfect.

We started off taking pictures of A in her Mommy's old wooden rocking chair, then moved onto some floor work with a few outfit changes in between; my favorites being the tutu I brought over and had purchased earlier in the week, and the cute blue number that really brought out those gorgeous blue eyes!  Not wanting to leave her older sister left out of any photo opportunity, we took several of them together and some of just her with her baby doll, Baby. :)

Between the floors, the lighting, the outfits and the awesome and laid back mood of both girls, this session has been one of my favorites.  Can't wait to see them again in 3 months for A's 9-month portraits!
