One Year Portraits - Take 2! | Eagan Child and Family Photography

A few weeks ago I took some One Year Cake Smash Pictures for a family that I have become very fond of.  A very fun and sweet couple who utterly adore their daughter.

I offered to do a "re-take" of her one year photos because I came early to the shoot and interrupted the morning nap.  She actually did quite well during that shoot, but I wanted to try again on a day where she could nap and be well rested.  As luck would have it, she decided to refuse her morning nap that day, too.  Oh kids.  They do this to me every time, but always end up doing so well during the shoot. What can I say?  I just have a way with them. :)

Those Baby Blues - 2 Year Portraits | St. Paul Child and Family Photographer

Minnesota has seen some of the most amazing weather over the past year.  Fall was one of the warmest and driest ever recorded in history, Winter saw the smallest amount of snowfall and mildest temps in YEARS, and now Spring is making its much anticipated arrival with sunny days and highs in the 70's (and technically it's still Winter).  This is making for one HAPPY photographer, especially since I prefer to shoot outdoors and in natural light.

Although this past Saturday was warmer it was quite windy making it a bit difficult to shoot outdoors, so the next best thing was to shoot inside my beloved Landmark Center in downtown St. Paul (as you can see from this 9-Month Portrait shoot, I just adore this building).

Next to my own son, this is one of the most beautiful 2-Year Old little boys I have ever met.  His parents were the sweetest, and I hope I get the opportunity to photograph them again.

Here is a share from an adorable at-home family photo session taken last October.  I took these pictures for their annual Christmas Card with a few more relaxed lifestyle shots inside their home.  I got some nice pictures of both mom and dad snuggling with their beautiful boys.
