So, today is tax day. Today my accountant...er, husband...and I will work on my business taxes. Sales tax figures to be exact. Fun stuff! Not really. But, while my husband is away dropping off our son for what should be a few hours of fun at my in-laws, I have some time to get my latest session blogged! Look on the bright side, right? :)
And just so you know a little Foreigner is rockin' in the background. I don't think I could work, or function through life, without music.
I had a blast hanging out with this family last weekend at their home in Shakopee for their youngest son's 3-month photos. We took advantage of the great window lighting coming into mom and dad's bedroom and the beautiful dark wood headboard on their bed for some of the photos. Little man rocked this session full of smiles and even gave us quite a few good shots during tummy time. It's always hit or miss with my 3-month olds, but he did awesome!
Looking forward to another great session at their 6-month appointment!

One Year Baby Photos - Let's Paint! | Bloomington Baby Photography
My first session of 2013 definitely needed to be blogged sooner rather than later and I promise I'll get around to blogging some more of my 2012 sessions soon, too.
I have been photographing this family since Fall of 2011 when I first shot Cassie and Wrin's maternity session and their little man's newborn photos, followed by his 3-month, 6-month and 9-month baby pictures. I also had the pleasure of photographing their wedding this past summer where I got to meet their amazing friends and families. I've loved every minute of knowing this sweet and fun couple and am a little saddened knowing their goals and ambitions are to move out of state in the next couple of years (as Time After Time by Cyndi Lauper plays in the background...*tear*).
I will MOST definitely miss them, but am so happy and excited for them to start this new life together as a family and will now have an excuse to hop on a plane and travel for a photo session. :)
I wish I could take credit for this one, but Cassie came up with this idea as a more creative alternative to the one year cake smash...and I absolutely love it! They now have a beautiful piece of artwork (besides the awesomely wonderful photos taken by moi) to hang on their wall to remember his first year by.
