One Happy Baby Boy | Maple Grove Family Photographer

I don't know how it's happening, but my 3.5 year old is keeping himself busy (probably with Star Wars figures and Angry Birds) so that I can actually get some work done today.

In keeping up with my goal to blog all of my sessions this year, I was once again able to put together a few photos from my last session with this gorgeous 6-month old baby boy.  His 3-month photos didn't go as well as planned as he wasn't up to taking photos that day and smiles were at a minimum, although we did manage to snag quite a few cute expressions even though they weren't technically smiles.  That's ok, though.  With all my babies I photograph, even though I love the giggles and smiles, I also love the simple, pure, innocent, and soulful stares I get with my more serious babies.  One of my favorite pictures I have of my own son is one where he is not smiling, but just simply looking at the camera with more of what I like to call "the puppy dog look".

This time around, though, we got lots and lots of smiles with a little help from daddy.  I think like most families, dad is the "fun guy" where mom is the nurturer and the caretaker.  My husband is the one who gets down on the floor and wrestles with my son, where as I am the one always up for hugs, snuggling and reading books.  With this family, I think it's quite the same.
